The Bridges of Tenno Sooster

Can you imagine a world without bridges? Those that connect opposite banks, and those that link countries and cultures, fields of knowledge and creativity—ultimately, the past and the future.

In the life of the artist Tenno Sooster, there are many bridges. As the son of Ülo Sooster, he remains open to all who are interested in the world of this remarkable man.

Tenno’s own art brings together the ancient art of engraving and the challenges of the contemporary world—intellectual play and metaphysical resistance. His etching studio at the Artists’ House in Tel Aviv brings together a wide range of artists and students.

Contemporary Estonian art is another “shore” for Tenno Sooster, a member of the Estonian Artists’ Association: he has held exhibitions here and has ambitious plans.

Two years ago, the Sooster Foundation was established here, with one of its aims being “to unite creative, active, and responsible people in the field of art and culture.” Another bridge that Tenno Sooster is building together with like-minded colleagues.

Happy birthday, Tenno Pent!
