Meeting with Viktor Pivovarov

In early February, two artists met in Prague: Tenno Sooster and Viktor Pivovarov (pictured). This meeting had a truly special energy. Why?

Because they had not seen each other for almost forty years.

Because Viktor Pivovarov was a friend of Tenno’s father, Ülo Sooster, and it seemed as if he was looking at Tenno with a somewhat parental gaze…

And finally, because Tenno was presenting the Aleph-Bet project—22 etchings inspired by the letters of the Hebrew alphabet—a project he had worked on for six years together with artist Sergey Bunkov.

Viktor Pivovarov watched and listened with great interest. He congratulated the artists on their success.

The tradition of creative exploration continues…
